PRIVACY & SAFETY · BETA TERMS IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Brain-signal data is sensitive. We treat it that way.

Brain-signal data is neural data, and we treat it as sensitive. This page describes what we collect during beta, what we don't claim, how data is used, and what stays under your control. It is written for testers, not lawyers. The formal version is the Privacy Policy; our site terms are in the Terms of Use.

WHAT WE DO NOT CLAIM

MachineDigit does not claim to read private thoughts, diagnose medical conditions, or infer sensitive mental states beyond supported beta features. The system detects signal patterns, nothing more.

01 · WHAT WE COLLECT

Collected during beta, per session, with consent

Raw and processed signal data
Recorded only during supported sessions you start.
Session metadata
Timestamps, task labels, environment notes.
Device diagnostics
Battery, contact quality, firmware version.
Account and feedback
Your account details, feedback reports, and application logs.
02 · HOW DATA IS USED

Used to improve the product, not to profile you

Product and signal-processing improvement
Debugging and user support
Research, only with your separate, explicit consent
Aggregated analysis that cannot identify individual testers

We do not sell brain-signal data. We do not share identifiable session data with third parties outside the uses above.

03 · YOUR CONTROL

Consent first, reversible always

Session recording requires your consent, every time
Access your own session data in the beta dashboard
Request deletion of your data at any time

FAQ

Privacy and safety questions

Does MachineDigit sell my brain-signal data?

No. We do not sell brain-signal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We treat it as sensitive neural data and do not share identifiable session data with third parties outside the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

Where is my EEG data processed?

Signal quality and filtering run on the device; decoding runs in the MachineDigit platform. Raw session EEG is uploaded under your per-session consent and is encrypted in transit.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can request deletion of your data at any time. It is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups on their rotation schedule. You can also review and manage your session data in the beta dashboard.

Does recording happen without my consent?

No. Session recording requires your consent every time, and it only happens in sessions you start. You can withdraw consent for the future at any time without leaving the beta program.

Can MachineDigit read my private thoughts or mental states?

No. The system detects brain-signal patterns. It does not read private thoughts, diagnose medical conditions, or infer sensitive mental states beyond supported beta features.
